Brrrrr... its getting cold outside!! Or is it?

What is new?  Boy this past weekend sure did warm up here in Ohio! Isn't it November? Oh now don't get me wrong I am not complaining, I love warm weather.

I recently had computer problems and could not do all the work I normally do, so.... that did leave me some spare time!  SPARE time, I almost forgot how that feels.  But boy did it feel good.  I managed to get some cards done.  The one I will show you today is just a little card, I used a cute image from Stampavie. It is available HERE by Gillian Roberts called Penguin and Tree.  I used some flower soft for the snow,  but I am afraid I covered a lot of that up with the ribbon, it is hard to tell but I used Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer over the entire image.   I also used some dew drops on right hand side (the pretty turquoise bobbles)  It was a quickie card, but still a lot of fun to make, and gave me a much needed respite from work.

I wanted to mention I will be hosting an ebay charity auction at the end of the month.  (I will provide a link here when the auction is running, target date is Nov 22) It will be an auction with a wide array of holiday cards from numerous artists.  I would love to have even more cards to add to the auction, so if any of you are willing to donate, a card that is sized approx. 5.25x4.25 or smaller would be wonderful, I will supply the envelopes.  A great gal I know will be making the tin to house all the cards, but I am hoping to have even more than what will fit!  All proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots.  Contact me at casdanben@aol.com for my address if you would like to donate a card for the auction.

I also wanted to show you all the cute little tree from doodlebug that I got in. I thought this would be really fun to decorate with goodies from my stamp and scrap supplies/collection.  I could see someone doing a Tilda Tree.  In fact I would love to see some examples, if anyone has something like this.  I think my daughter and I might try to spend some time on doing one this month. Just as soon as I get the new Tilda stamps in. Gosh it seems like it is taking FOREVER, doesn't it?

Thanks for stopping by.

What a beautiful card Michelle! Your image is adorable and detailed beautifully! I think that making a card or two is perfect relaxation therapy and so glad that you were able to take advantage of the moment.
Take care and have a beautiful evening.
