I have a card to show you!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!! Spring is finally here in NE Ohio! I am so happy. I just hope it does not snow again. I know I shoudn't even think it!
For those of you who sent Haeli a card, first of all, thank you.  Secondly, I wanted to keep you updated, my sister was stopping by to see her again today with a second bunch of cards.  She has received 55 cards and packages so far!  She asked her mom why would all these people who don't know her want to send her cards!?  So thank you for showing her that even people who don't know her do care!  (See the right top side bar if you haven't read my post about Haeli)
I have a new card to show you. Yes, finally!!  And I am pretty darn happy with this card.  I combined two stamps.  The first one is from The Pixie Cottage, entitled Pleasant Porch by ArTish. (I swear this card looks like my mother-in-law's porch.)  I also used one of my Magnolia Tilda Stamps.

I just love to make easel cards. I used the a punch around the page from Martha Stewart.  Here is a side view, I pop-dotted Tilda.

I would love to enter this card in a few challenges.

A late Christmas Card

Yes, I know I am way late for a Christmas card!  I had this card done for awhile, but with all the problems with my computer and camera at the end of the year I just never got time to post it. If you have been following my blog long you know I love to make stair step cards.  If you need directions on how to make one just email me. I hope to get the directions posted here soon. I used two Magnolia Tilda stamps here and a Pixie Cottage stamp that certainly fit the scene.  The Pixie Cottage has several new background/accessory stamps up for purchase now. You will find they go wonderfully with Magnolia Tilda stamps.

Another Stair Step Card to share

Hello I am back!  I have another Stair Step Card to share.  I tend to fall in love with doing a certain type of card and stay on that for awhile, can you tell? 

I have used another wonderful stamp from The Pixie Cottage by Sandra Hammer, the Spooky Tree Background, and also a cute little Tilda Stamp from Magnolia.

I colored the stamps with Copic Markers

In addition, I have used Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey Patterned Paper, stickles glitter glue and Martha Stewart's Scalloped Dot Punch

A Little Challenge Among Friends

 I recently had the company of my dear friend Jan (ScrappyJanDesigns), and while she was here I ask her to do up a card with this wonderful NEW stamp, Eerie Books by Sandra Hammer. Well, after she got home we got to talking, and I mentioned I actually had time to make a card with it too! (What a nice change to be able to sit down and play) I finally had a chance to try one of those stair step cards and just loved doing it. (If you would like a how-to on this let me know and I will post one)

So we have made this a friendly little challenge!! I cannot wait to see what Jan has come up with.  Also if you have time go back to her post with the M&Ms and make a guess on how many there are in the bottle!  And check out Jan's Wednesday post, another cute new Pixie Cottage stamp (Gone Fishin' by Di Carubia.

I am back!!!!!!! AND August Blog Candy

Well.... I'm back.......

I spent almost a week in Chicago at CHA with my Pixie Cottage stamps.

My friends Jan (to the left) and Anita (to the right) joined me, and thank goodness they did. Jan helped me tremendously by setting the table up and they both helped me during the show. Don't worry they had time for fun too, as evidenced by Anita's photo with her flamingo and Tim Holtz.

Let me tell you these gals were a bunch of laughs, and I want to thank them so much for joining me!

Happy Saturday!!

Good morning everyone.  I have  a new card to show you! My first ever easel card.  Now I know I had an easel card in my post the other day, but I actually made this one first.  It is made with a Buffy the Bunny stamp by Alisa Ramirez from The Pixie Cottage!

 

I also used some old patterned paper I had in my stash from All My Memories, some Bazzill Bling, Spellbinders, some Prima Roses and of course my Copic Markers. I use a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add highlights. *You can also see a hint of a Fiskars Edge Punch on the right hand side of the card. The cute flowers border are from Bazzill, I believe.

Now I also want to mention I made this card for a sketch challenge at

Crafting Life's Pieces #23. Here is the great sketch Chelsea provided.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge 11-The Color Green

The Pixie Cottage Challenge this week is the use of the color green in celebration of St. Patrick's Day, although the card does not have to have a St. Patty's theme. So I took the opportunity to use Eileen Gutierrez's new Birthday Boy stamp.  I colored him with Copics.  The balloons have some crystal effect on them. (Hard to see that in the picture)

The paper is from Basic Grey's Origins line. I used my Spellbinders die and a cuttlebug folder to embellish.

The edge punch is from the Martha Stewart line.

I have a little trouble with "boy" cards as I never know what to use as embellishments. (flowers are a staple of mine)

My Latest Card

Well I made this card for The Pixie Cottage Challenge   The theme this week is color either red or pink as your main color.  If you get a chance stop over and enter your card, we are giving away a gift voucher to my store.

Now dont faint please, I am posting two days in a row. I know most of you stop over at The Pixie Cottage blog, but for those who don't I wanted to share my new card. The stamp is What a Doll from the new Pixie Cottage collection, artist Alisa Ramirez. I believe the paper was DCWV, but I have forgotten.. sorry! I got the sentiment stamp at Joann's some time ago, and dont recall the brand of that either.... look I am getting old what can I say? Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Well I am leaving for the beach... Myrtle Beach to be exact. One of my all time favorite places. Just think happy thoughts for me, of no hurricanes or tropical storms. It is that time of year, but this is the only week I could get off... so off we go.

I did want to tell everyone I have a couple of new artists on board for The Pixie Cottage stamp line, and cannot wait to get their drawings made into stamps. Also, I have new drawings from the artists that were already on board. Would you like to know more about these wonderful gals? I will be posting bios soon.

I also wanted to mention that I have the Ultimate Crafter's Companion in stock in my store. Yes, I saw it at CHA and it got my attention. I now own one, but am sad to say I just haven't had time to play with it.

I also wanted to mention I now have all the Spellbinder's new labels in stock in my store and the new Polar White Flowersoft, so stop by if you get a chance.

I have a few cards to share...

Well, I have been meaning to post. However, it literally has taken me all week to catch up from the time I spent at CHA. But I am pretty much caught up now thank goodness.

Anyway, I have been hoarding these cards, but I cannot wait any longer, I have to share. I have had a little project going on for a few months. Well ,it was more than a "little" project. I am in the process of starting my own stamp company. It is called The Pixie Cottage

I will soon be releasing my first bunch of stamps. What has been taking me so long is the never ending debate of red rubber versus clear stamps. There seems to be strong opinions on both. I would love to hear opinions on this. I have not ruled out having them made both ways to appease the masses.

I have some wonderful artists on board and cannot wait to show the whole line to everyone. I am so proud of these ladies: Andrea, Sandra, Alisa and Melissa. They have such talent, and all unique in their own way. More on these gals soon. Below you will find a few cards I have managed to get done. My coloring is coming along, but still leaves a lot to be desired. (Please note the sentiment stamp is not part of my line, but one I bought elsewhere)
