New Card.... Belles and Whistles

I have another card to share with you.  I just love this stamp Snow Gear Snowbaby from Belles N Whistles.
I have to admit this card is rather simple, and was a quickie to make. But I am sure I will find someone who will appreciate this card.

My sister and I both have a birthday coming up this month, maybe she will get this card? (We share the same birthday....16 years apart..yep I am the oldest)  She is celebrating a big one... she will be 30, so do the math.. YIKES am I really that old?  My little sister is just the cutest gal.  Really pretty and a sweet young lady who has been going through a rough time, having broke her foot, and having to spend 8 weeks in a cast is bad enough, but she makes her living as a waitress, so it has been doubly hard being off work. AND she is single, so the sole breadwinner when it comes to paying bills. I cannot imagine how hard it has to be right now in this snow and ice to be on crutches.
Here is a picture of Nicole (left) and my niece.

Okay enough about my beautiful little sister.  Here is my card, as you can see it is quite simple, a little bling, ribbon and my copics, and you are good to go.  The sentiment stamp is from The Pixie Cottage.

I would like to enter this card in a few challenges.

A New Card for some Challenges

I am entering this card in some challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar-Anything Goes
Tuesday Taggers-It takes all Sorts
Stempeltraume -would like a bow
Stamping Vacation No No-No sparkle

My memory is so bad, I admit it.  I started this card about three weeks ago for a challenge, so if the layout looks familiar, it was a sketch I saw on a challenge that runs on fridays, but I never got around to finishing it. That is all I remember!  Do you think that is bad?  Well I have had this adorable dog stamp since April!  Do I remember what company it is from? Well... of course not.... I am so bad.

What I do remember is I bought this stamp at a stamp show I went to with my friend last spring and it reminded me of Winston.  (Winston is my little buddy... he is an eccentric old dog... more about that in a sec) and I know this paper is Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers
That is Winston a few years ago.  Anyone that knows me very well knows that I love animals.  Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds... love them all... so my point?  What prompted me to finally get that stamp out and use it?  My husband was on a rampage about my little buddy Winston.  Winston has some bad habits, he makes odd noises, scratches all the time and other dog type behavior problems. (That is why I call him eccentric.)  However, that day he was a little naughtier than usual, so my husband was mad. Thus, he unknowingly inspired this card!  Anyone else that knows me will tell you I am a mother bear, whether it be to my human children or my "animal" children.  (It is sometimes hard to tell which are truely human and which are animals!)

On to humans now.  Just wanted to share a picture from my one tank trip a couple of weeks ago.  We took the kids to brandywine falls in the Cuyahoga Valley park area. Of course it rained for the whole hike, but we had fun anyway.  My children are the tall one on the left, the fourth one over and the little girl next to him.  They all brought a friend... thus the extra kids.We didn't have much rain this summer so the river was low.

I also wanted to mention that I do have the design team all chosen for my store, and will be back later this week when I have more time to announce the new design team.
I think that is it for now.
Take care
Michelle

A Little Challenge Among Friends

I recently had the company of my dear friend Jan (ScrappyJanDesigns), and while she was here I ask her to do up a card with this wonderful NEW stamp, Eerie Books by Sandra Hammer. Well, after she got home we got to talking, and I mentioned I actually had time to make a card with it too! (What a nice change to be able to sit down and play) I finally had a chance to try one of those stair step cards and just loved doing it. (If you would like a how-to on this let me know and I will post one)
So we have made this a friendly little challenge!! I cannot wait to see what Jan has come up with.  Also if you have time go back to her post with the M&Ms and make a guess on how many there are in the bottle!  And check out Jan's Wednesday post, another cute new Pixie Cottage stamp (Gone Fishin' by Di Carubia.

Howdy Partner!

Isn't this the cutest image?  A couple of months ago I came across a blog with some adorable precious moments images.  HELP... I cannot find Yvonne's blog now, I believe she is located somewhere in Scandanavia, and I wanted to share this card with her since she pointed me in the direction of the website that has these images. (Yes I am afraid I am trying to follow too many blogs...but there are so many good ones!)
Update: I have since learned this image was copyright protected and lifted without permission of the author to the website I obtained it from. After publishing this post I later became well versed in copyright law and realized this image must have been shared illegally.
I have had this card finished for a couple of weeks but with Easter never had the opportunity to post it.  I used the patterned paper from the Basic Grey Origins line, and really didn't add much else, other than some buttons, twine and sakura jelly roll for the faux stitching. I think the border punch I used was a Martha Stewart, and a bosher from Bazzill to help the easel card stand up. Oh and of course my Copic Markers!!

I thought I would enter this in some challenges.
All Sorts Challenge wanted stitching Faux or real
Krafting Kimmies Challenge wanted One for The Boys
Crafty Ann's Challenge wanted to Let the Sun shine in

Thanks for stopping by, and happy Sunday!
